We are experts at moving clocks! Let us relocate your clock without risk or effort on your part. We will pack up your clock, perform service if required, store it and reinstall it when you are ready, complete with a warranty.

Basic Service

Most clocks should be serviced between 3 to 5 years, depending on the environment they operate.

We clean them, lubricate and adjust them, all for a fair previously agreed price.

Turnaround is 7-30 days; Warranty is up to 90 days

Extended Service

Complete Teardown & Rebuild

Extended Service includes everything in Basic Service and complete disassembly, inspection, repair of pivots, bushings,  plates, clicks and replacement of mainsprings when necessary. 

Warranty, depending on the level of rebuild, is up to five-years and transferable.

Turnaround is normally a few month, in in some cases longer.

Restoration Service

Case, Dial face & Bezel work

Restoration Service is most often done at the same time as Basic or Extended Service. This may involve new glasswork, hands, dial face, bezel and case refinishing.

Each job is unique and aims at restoring the esthetic presentation of the clock. Turnaound time varies.

Warranty, depending on the level of rebuild, is up to five-years and transferable.

Turnaround is normally a few month, in in some cases longer.

Preservation Service

Protecting the Authenticity

Preservation Service is most often done at the same time as Basic or Extended Service. The aim is stop the deterioration of of the clock body and patina.

The original condition is preserved while assuring any deterioration areas are arrested. Case structure, bezel, glass, ornaments, finials are all repaired without trace of refinishing.

The integrity of the clock and all its components are secured whille maintaining the current appearance.

Turnaround varies.

Cuckoo Clocks

Full of wonderment

A wide range of Cuckoo clocks exist, from inexpensive to rare, exquisite and complex models. Most models can be repaired as parts are generally available.

Anniversary Clock

Let us care for that special clock.  Parts can be a  challenge at times, but we usually  succeed in restoring these clocks to service.

Figurine Clock Service

These  clocks are functioning works of art and require extra care in handling.

Basic and Extended Service is available assuming availabiliy of repair parts. Restoration / Preservation work may require additional attention from Artwork preservation specialists. We have an extensive network of professionals available to address your needs.

Tall Clock Service

Grandfather, Grandmother

Tall clocks require service at the customer’s home. Basic Service can be done on-site, but Extended Service must be done at Vintage ClockWorks. These repairs involve two site visits in addition to shop work.

Restoration / Preservation work may require additional attention from cabinet /furniture specialists. We have an extensive network of professionals available to address your needs.

Master Clocks

Hearbeat of Industry

Master Clocks were critical to the efficient operations in institutions and manufacturing. Anywhere accurate timing was necessary, a Master clock could be found, keeping many slave clocks in step. These clocks were exceptionally well made and durable. Manufactured by ITR, IBM,  Stromberg and a few others, these clocks were the predecessors to the timecard clocks that followed. 

Highly collectible, Master Clocks are a specialty at  Vintage ClockWorks. We perform all levels of repairs necessary to keep these historic clocks working for decades to come.

Similar to Grandfather clocks, Exterior / public clocks require service on-site and at Vintage ClockWorks.

Special help may be required depending on location,  Costs are usually quoted by the job.

Tower Clocks

All levels of service

Tower clocks are socially unique and historically significant.

Repairs often extend to the physical environment housing the timepiece. Vintage ClockWorks will perform all levels of service with immediate attention to Preservation.

We have an extensive networks of tradesmen ready to assist in structural, roofing, masonry, paint, whatever repairs are required.

These repairs are contract-based.
